Hail Snowman!

Is it just me, or does he look like Caesar? And they say education standards are dropping...

8/10 for size (he's a big guy)
9/10 for artistic merit

A slightly more local snowman, and a jolly cheery chap if I do say so.

5/10 for size
7/10 for artistic merit (good detail on the face)

The local park.

St Andrew's Church, Earlsfield

And I'm guessing that the recycling centre didn't see much activity today

London SnoW17

So...Mother Nature decided that we didn't have quite enough going on with the credit crunch and recession and threw in a bit of weather. It started snowing on Sunday afternoon and carried on right through the night. Monday morning dawned to 20cm of snow on the ground and traffic chaos. No London buses! District Line suspended! Skeletal service on South-West trains! And the chances of my getting to work in the 'burbs? Slim to none. So an unscheduled day off it was.

I had an hour's trudge around SW London before all of this became clear. A bit later on I made it out to take some pictures for posterity.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow. x
